Depressing news confirming what has been rumoured to be the case for some time.
It is the third major blow to R&D scientists in the UK Pharma industry in the past year following Harlow and Charnwood, as well as Newhouse.
There are now few pharma sites with a significant number of chemists working in R&D, although the contract sector seems to be thriving

I feel very sad that Pfizer have to close it
Sandwich site where 2400 people will be out of job. The goverment should do more by reemployed these 2400 people to other industrial.Compensation should be given to these 2400 people.
